Sunrises and Sunsets

Sunrises are striking and you have the beach almost to yourselves. Usually there is a mystical morning fog and the sun rises over the horizon as a red ball. These is a popular time for weddings followed by a wonderful breakfast.

Look on your maps for sites that are facing the east for lovely sunrise ceremonies. A couple of suggestions are Orleans, Chatham, and Yarmouth shores.

Sunsets are raspberry, peachy, purple skies and you can stand and watch the sun drop below the horizon line together.

Speaking of sunsets look on your maps for shores facing west. Two of the many places you can go are:

Provincetown Sunsets: Herring Cove beach to the right of the parking lot. You can also get a permit at Town Hall and do a barbeque on the beach.

Truro Sunsets: Another option is to go to “High Head” in Truro where you’ll see the sun set behind the Provincetown skyline. Just ask for directions.

Current Moon Phase

Some people like to get married during certain moons or moon phases. Cherry Moon, Harvest Moon, etc. Click Below for Moon information.

Provincetown

Provincetown is located at the very tip of Cape Cod and is where the pilgrims first landed here. It's lovely old Town Hall makes for a great wedding ceremony location. Please note Provincetown is beautiful and quaint and was developed before the need for wide streets and parking, it has small streets and very limited parking so always allow yourself time to get to a parking spot prior to a wedding service, and most public spots are metered or pay lots.

Handicapped Accessible Beaches

Cape Cod has accessible beaches for weddings. From aching knees to wheelchairs we can provide you with as easy walk or roll so you can enjoy the beauty of the beaches.

I want to suggest the following beaches for having accessibility for your needs. If you need a special beach surf wheel chair just call the town’s recreational and parks service and ask them to provide one for you on the date of your wedding. Most towns require a permit for beach weddings anyhow and you can get both with one phone call. Also be sure to bring along you Placard or plates on your vehicle.
